DNA-SPF TEST:
PROTECTION AT THE MOLECULAR LEVEL
This technology allows to detect and quantify ultraviolet-induced DNA damage, which is the main cause of skin cancer and aging!
We use the DNA Dosimeter System
DNA-SPF shows with precision the potential of the tested formulation or material to avoid DNA damage formation by UVA and UVB radiation.
Understand how it works:

DNA samples are placed in the dosimeter to be exposed

Using the lotion or material to be tested, we cover the dosimeter surface in order to simulate its use on the skin

The dosimeter containing the lotion or material for protection is exposed to a solar simulator

The amount and type of DNA generated lesions are recognized by specific enzymes through gel electrophoresis. The damaged DNA is usually found in samples that did not receive any efficient protection
